Vita

Tim Čečatka, born in Munich, studied at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. During his studies he worked together with colleagues on, amongst others, pieces such as Skizzofrenic, TriBu and his Solo 4 2, which celebrated its premier at the Open Studios at Tanztendenz in Munich in 2015. He was also able to set up an interdisciplinary Folkwang- LAB at the university in which the dance theatre created Die Berechnung eine Kurve mit Hilfe der Beinmuskulatur – ein Gesellschaftsspiel (the calculation of a turn with the help of leg musculature – a game for more than one person). His period of studies already associated him with the Cie. Andrea LUSzAK – physical arts Projekte, with which in 2013 and 2014 took part in the ExtraSchicht – Die Nacht der Industriekultur (Extra Shift – The Night of Industry Culture) as performer, dancer, aerialdancer and parcours at the Jahrhunderthalle in Bochum. Furthermore after he completed his studies in 2015 he assisted in the concept Raumexperimente (Spatial Experiments) and created the choreography for Titanen unserer Zeit (Titans of Our Time) at the Turbinenhalle together with Klaus Borkens. Since then Tim Čečatka has been dancing at Danilo Cardoso’s Samadhyana Dance Company in Ser Tão Seco and Die Allegorie der Höhle von Darwin (Darwin’s Allegory of the Caves) and for William Sánchez H. Kompanie THE GARDEN||performing arts in the silence of animals. Furthermore has performed in Mangaia by the DüsseldorfArt Academy graduate Katharina Busch and at the Naturfestival Bochum with BLAST presenting T A S K F O R C E. Tim Čečatka is dancing in Hector Berlioz’s Benvenuto Cellini at the Bonn Opera, as well as in the musical Anatevka – Fiddler on the roof by Jerry Bock.
