Tobias Eduard Schick studied composing in Dresden and Rome under, amongst others, Mark Andre, Ernst Helmuth Flammer and Manos Tsangaris. His compositions have been performed many times in Germany, other European countries and in Japan. He has worked with renowned musicians such as guitarist Jürgen Ruck, cellist Lucas Fels, the hand werk ensemble, mam.manufaktur für aktuelle Musik and El Perro Andaluz as well as the Dresdner Philharmonie. His music and features on his compositional work have been broadcast by radio stations such as Deutschlandradio Kultur and WDR 3. The major emphasis of his compositional interests lies, on the one hand, in the field of instrumental music and on the other, in the design of scenic and conceptual projects which are often created in collaboration with doctor and music pedagogue Katharina Vogt. He has been awarded numerous prizes and stipends, most recently the Composition Prize of the Plural Ensemble, Madrid. He has published texts on music of the 20th and 21st centuries as well as questions of aesthetics in publication series and periodicals such as Musik- Konzepte, Musik & Ästhetik and Positionen. Since 2013 he has been working on a dissertation on Mathias Spahlinger.

Katharina Vogt studied human medicine in Dresden and Berlin as well as music pedagogy, majoring in viola at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden. At the moment she is working as assistant doctor in the Radiology Clinic in Dresden Hospital. As a member of the Manos Tsangaris’s composition class at the Dresdener Hochschule für Musik she produced a number of music theatre projects, which, amongst others, were performed during the Ostrale ’013 – exhibition for contemporary art, the Festival Das Theater um die Muhsiiik in Bern and during new talents – biennale cologne 2014.
